Balance Club Brumlovka opens with a new look

The extensive reconstruction of Balance Club Brumlovka in Prague’s BB Centrum has been successfully completed. The club’s environment was gradually reconstructed over several phases, specifically the client centre, reception, change rooms and showers, employee’s facilities and also the entire wellness centre, including the terrace. The Passerinvest concern, which is the operator of this exceptional sports and relaxation facility, invested almost CZK 200 million into its reconstruction.

“We established Balance Club Brumlovka in order to provide clients services of the utmost quality in it. Today, after almost fifteen years, I think I can say that we have managed to build a club that is unique in its design, functionality and services compared to similar facilities here and elsewhere in the world. Regular investments are essential to maintain the same high standard. I am sure that thanks to the just-completed reconstruction, our club will confirm its reputation as a leading fitness and wellness facility and will continue to provide its first-class services to satisfied clients,” stated Radim Passer, the founder and CEO of Passerinvest Group, with regard to the reconstruction.

The reconstruction concerned all parts of Balance Club Brumlovka – in particular the clients’ facilities and wellness part of the club underwent a significant transformation in 2020. The desk made from artificial white stone, Corian, has become the new dominant feature of the reception. The clients now have a Balance Terminal at their disposal, which makes it possible to easily check the status of their membership account, to top up their credit on this account or to leave feedback. More than four hundred spacious lockers with electronic locks were installed in the change rooms along with large backlit mirrors and the original bulletin boards were replaced by designer video panels. There are high-end appliances for hair styling here for the client’s greater comfort. Essential fragrant oils with an antibacterial effect are newly used in the change rooms and reception spaces. They also work as natural antivirals.

To ensure greater safety when moving in a wet environment, modern anti-slip tiles were used in the showers. Entrance screens were added to selected showers to ensure greater privacy and comfort. Dispensers with natural cosmetics are available and visitors to the pool will definitely appreciate the swimsuit dryer. Water fountains were added, including a dispenser for filling bottles, which were installed in the spaces of the fitness centre and close to the studio lessons.

The last phase of reconstruction also concerned the large spaces of the wellness section of the club. A 25-metre stainless steel pool was built with a gradual entry and water heated to 28 °C and a more spacious stainless steel whirlpool. There are, of course, completely new toilets and showers, including those used for cooling. New Italian tiling and cladding in natural colours was laid throughout the entire space. The wellness centre now offers several different saunas: Finnish Ceremonial, Soft and Ladies, plus a steam bath, infrared sauna, ice-cold fountain, Kneipp spa and relaxation room.

The Ceremonial sauna is meant for holding sauna ceremonies. It has a built-in audio system and the possibility of changing the colour tones of the interior lighting according to the theme of the ceremony. The Soft sauna with approximately 60 °C is meant for sauna aficionados who prefer a lower temperature in the sauna. A new feature is the infrared sauna with special LavaTech technology that, thanks to the low interior temperature, allows people with cardiovascular or other difficulties to partake in a sauna. The ice-cold fountain is meant for more sensitive cooling. The original Kneipp spa was replaced by a new, larger version supplemented by massage pebbles on the bottom contributing to the greater blood circulation of the feet during the therapy. The luxuriousness of the entire space is emphasised by the tailor-made glass chandelier. The new modern spa offers massage and body rituals using natural body oils from the Spanish brand Alqvimia.

“We are literally delighted by the just-completed demanding reconstruction. It is as if Balance Club Brumlovka has been restored to life thanks to it and has moved the fitness and wellness centres to a higher league. We are sure that all the changes will contribute to the visitors’ maximum comfort and they will be just as pleased to use them as we are. We are already looking forward to welcoming them again in our luxuriously reconstructed spaces,” stated Petra Tyrpeklová, the General Manager of Balance Club Brumlovka.
