Students learn about urbanism in BB Centrum
PASSERINVEST GROUP’s new educational programme for students of secondary schools oriented on construction was launched this May in BB Centrum. Its goal is to present the local city district and to point out the modern construction with an accent on sustainable development. Through a commented tour, the students get to know the urban unit that is BB Centrum as well as the basic principles for building a new city.
The roughly two-hour tour is conceived to show the students the overall urbanism of the complex and to explain the concept of commercial development in connection with the development of civic amenities and services with an emphasis on quality public spaces and an abundance of space for sports and leisure. Thanks to the newly-opened multimedia showroom, BB Centroom, students get to know the past, present and future of BB Centrum and get the opportunity to also take a closer look at the interiors of the individual buildings: the offices, rooftop terraces and technical facilities.
The first participants in the new educational programme were students from the Josef Gočár Secondary School of Civil Engineering, located in Prague 4, and students of the Higher Construction Vocational School and Secondary School of Civil Engineering on Dušní Street in Prague 1.
“At this time, the programme is set up for participants from the ranks of secondary schools with an orientation on construction. In the future we are planning on expanding the educational commented tours for students of higher vocational schools and universities. We want to show them, in practice, how it is important, even if you are building only a single project, to think in a wider context and with regard to the future” stated Martin Unger, the Technical Director of PASSERINVEST GROUP, with regard to the educational programme.
