The area with a significant environmental burden houses, in addition to former slaughterhouses, a waste deposit site from the times of the South Connecting Road’s construction as well as that of the Metro line C. “Our intention is to conduct a complex revitalization of the entire area of the former Interlov complex, including its immediate surroundings, which have been dilapidated for a long time. The multipurpose building will have six above ground storeys and, thanks to the terrain where it will be placed, will not interfere in the landscape of Michle Forest or the remote Pankrác Plain,” says Martin Unger, Member of the Board of Directors, PASSERINVEST GROUP, in his comment on the project. The new building will offer an area of 55,000 square metres, in addition to 750 new parking spaces in the basement. <\/p>\n
At the same time, the A8000 architectural studio has developed draft design concepts of a leisure park, which is expected to form a buffer area between Michle Forest and the South Connecting Road. ”We have produced two designs for the leisure time park, which, aside from the landscape pattern, also respect environmental studies as well as water resources officers and dendrologists’ requirements. The opportunities offered by this relaxation park are in line with the idea of creating a facility benefitting all age groups and the majority of locals,” says Architect Martin Krupauer of A8000 studio. Both design versions aim to utilize the existing resources such as surface water, trees and bushes, to create a system of small lakes, groups of trees, avenues and grass areas (floral meadows, inviting lawns). ”On no account will any trees be cut down. The only thing that we must remove is self-sowing woody plants,” adds Martin Krupauer.
